Chinese made shit

I cannot not buy chinese made products anymore. As much as I want to it becomes inevitable. But I hate how cheap they make their shit. It is remarkable to me the level of cheap poorly made goods that we now accept. We used to joke, not so many years ago, about Japanese and Taiwanese products being cheap. Now we don't care. Spent 6 dollars on long johns. Already torn in one day of usage. Spent 80 dollars on hand held vaccuum. Done after one year. Spent 1000 dollars on TV almost done after two years. Where is the trade off of the throw-away society. Does anyone beside me get frustrated at this constant replacement of cheap goods we now have. You can't even buy a kitchen broom without the head falling off in the first 6 months. It used to be a bragging right of how long you owned a needed household item. "I've had my washer for 18 years and she finally gave out". Hell I had a dvd player from 1998 to 2008, and then it took a crap. I replaced it, and have replaced that with another. Think about that though. I probably spent 200 to 250 on the first, and have now spent 40 and 30, respectively, on the next two. We don't gain anything by going with chinese made shit.

ps
I also recall a battery change once with the original dvd player, so add 4 or 5 dollars.
