Love is free of all obstacles, right? I guess not. True.com is not true to its advertisements. True offers the chance at love, but respects the right to deny anyone based on their past record. Who would have thought that I am considered a bad guy by anyone, let alone a cheesy love, true, website. Evidently I don't pass the test for them. Very eHarmony like. Very selective. I had nearly forgotton about my criminal record until today. My criminal record 5 years ago was a clear indication that I am not compatible with anyone out there. Evidently no one who is worth a shit ever got arrested while attending college and getting a degree. I guess I'm a loser for that. After all I do have a b.s. degree. All along I thought thought that eHarmony was too selective in criteria, and now I find out about True.com's criteria. Do they know the difference between a misdemeanor and a felony, I doubt it. Do they ask the difference, or the charge, no. Is that True? no. It's interesting that they advertise love on the internet, yet love should have nothing to do with college hijinks. Pretty restrictive morals. I guess I won't know my True love after all. Oh well, I'm proud of who I am and where I have come from, even if I have had my fingers printed in a criminal database.
Eric,
PS Its not the end of the world, everyone should feel that sensation of being cuffed, because you won't want it again, just like I felt it. Once and only.

Consequences, they are a fact of life. In this case it seems like the price you are paying is well worth the lesson you learned, once those cuffs are tightened around your wrists you feel all freedom drained from you, in an instant. You can't even scratch your nose if it itches! I personally have never been arrested, just lucky I guess because I have flirted with breaking the law many times, mostly underage drinking in my youth but like you say never any real crime. I guess they should have crimes that fit into a "stupid youth" category where you have to pay the same penalities but it doesn't follow you for the rest of your life, lumping you in with bank robbers and rapists, it just doesn't seem fair.
If you ask me the people losing here are True.com and the "good people" who did make the cut. I am sure many decent people, including yourself have been denied, you are most likely in good company.
As for you, remember she is out there! Looking for her is half the fun!
One more thing, You said "love is free of obstacles, right" (wait give me a minute to stop laughing). Love is the ultimate obstacle course, you have two egos to hurdle, past baggage to serpentine through. You have emotions and hurt feeling to get passed! Let's not even get into the sexual part of it, that can be more like a marathon! Just suffice it to say love is work, rewarding work but work none the less. Anything that is worth it is going to be hard work.
Sorry I don't mean to monopolize your blog but you say things that make me think, alot!
